Yes, professional styling for both bride and groom are included in all our couple packages. Our makeup artists are trained in Chinese bridal styling, designed to complement hanfu and enhance the overall aesthetic of your chosen look.

For outdoor portraits, popular locations include Gardens by the Bay, Chinese Garden, and select restaurants or private venues suited for qipao or neo-Chinese couple photography. We are happy to recommend locations based on your outfit selection and the mood you wish to create.

We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially for weekend slots or concepts that require outfit sourcing. If your photos are intended for wedding use, do let us know your timeline so we can work backwards and advise on availability.

Of course! Most of the images you see are captured from real client sessions with no prior modelling experience. We guide you throughout the shoot in a way that feels natural and responsive to your personality, so nothing feels forced or overly posed.

Yes! We welcome all couples, including inter-racial and non-Chinese couples, for hanfu photography and Chinese pre-wedding photoshoots in Singapore. In some cases, we may also suggest neo-Chinese or contemporary styling if it better aligns with your personal story and overall aesthetic. The intention is always the same: to create imagery that feels intentional, elegant, and true to who you are.

Xiuhefu is inspired by late Qing Dynasty and early 20th-century Chinese bridal wear, and it carries many traditional wedding symbols such as dragons, phoenixes, and auspicious motifs that represent blessings for marriage.

However, the style seen today is a modern reinterpretation rather than a direct historical reproduction. It has been refined over time for contemporary weddings, with enhanced embroidery, richer colours, and a more stylised silhouette to suit modern aesthetics and photography.

In contrast, hanfu refers more broadly to historical clothing worn across different dynasties in China, with a wide range of styles and everyday wear traditions.
